Best Paper Award at IEEE WACV 2024 GeoCV Workshop

At the beginning of 2025, we had the honor of presenting our work at the GeoCV Workshop of the WACV Conference — and are proud to share that our paper “Temporal Resilience in Geo-Localization: Adapting to the Continuous Evolution of Urban and Rural Environments” received the Best Paper Award.

Our work addresses a key challenge in cross-view geo-localization: the fact that real-world environments are constantly evolving. By introducing the CVTemporal dataset, enriched with recent satellite and Street View imagery, we enable robust evaluation of models under temporal shifts such as new constructions, seasonal changes, or updated infrastructure. Additionally, we explore strategies for selectively updating datasets based on detected changes in satellite imagery, reducing the need for full-scale data recollection.

The paper is available in the WACV 2025 Workshops proceedings, available here!
