We had 3 papers at AGILE 2025

This years 28th AGILE Conference on Geographic Information Science took place in Dresden from June 10th to June 13th. Under the conference theme “Geographic Information Science responding to Global Challenges” researches from all over the world gathered under the patronage of the Association of Geographic Information Laboratories in Europe (AGILE) to discuss innovations in Geographic Information Science.

Our group was present with a total of 3 publications:

  • In Mining Meaningful Facets in Spatial Information Retrieval with Spatial Relevance Feedback we proposed a new method for finding the most meaningful filters for spatio-textual data exploration making use of the user’s feedback to their query.

  • The paper Experiments on Geospatial Data Modelling for Long-Term Trajectory Prediction of Aircrafts researches on various data represenations for trajectory predictions and proposed to use H3 based spatial grids to simplify the complex 3D prediction to a simple categorization problem.

  • Further, we propose a new approach to deal with point cloud data in Point Cloud Data Management for Analytics in a Lakehouse using the Lakehouse architecture.

For detailed information on all our published papers refer to the publications page.
